The Oldham College, one of Greater Manchester’s largest colleges, specialises in post 16 vocational learning and with our help has won countless awards for their internal marketing. Once again Urbansoul Design have been commissioned to produce the full time prospectus design for a 4th year – and here is the finished prospectus. Working with the college students to create a design that engages the student community we’re sure we’ve hit the nail on the head. Fingers crossed we can win another prospectus design award for the college this year!

A website is also a venue for hands-on learning for students outside normal school hours. Many schools, academies and colleges have online learning material that students can access at any time.

A school website can be started with a minimal investment. Some recurring costs include domain registration, hosting services and website administration – but Design For Schools ensures that every website we build has a very simple administration system (and user manual) for controlling the content of the website.

Schools should prepare their website so that it is well designed, attractive, easy to navigate, highly usable, has good content and is full of relevant information. The website should have enough functionality and should be capable of retaining visitors.

The website should have a professional touch and showcase the institution brand to people, especially parents and guardians. Today’s parents, or guardians, need information as fast as possible so that they can organise and plan their year around school holidays and other developments. If a school has an updated website then they can get information about term dates, school hours, uniform policy, school trips, etc as soon as the school makes it available.
